Spike says:
Medium dark with no head. Like its sibling, Sioux City Root Beer, nice bottle with a painted on label. The picture on the label is the same picture on the back of the bottle (of the root beer too) in raised glass. So what. It don't matter how it comes unless it tastes good. A root beer billing itself as the "granddaddy of all root beers" has a lot to live up to. And this one is actually quite good. Very drinkable, not harsh, not too carbonated. I wish I had more so I could do a side by side comparison with their root beer but hey, I picked these up in some qwik-e-mart in the middle of nowhere along I-80 driving across country. I didn't really have room to stock up on drinks. This has a strong wintergreen note, which usually means I don't like it, but it blends well and doesn't dominate. A little sweet, but quite drinkable. Enjoyably so. It's a solid B.
