Spike says:
In the great tradition of "Flutie Flakes" and "OJ's Hand-Carved Chicken Breast" comes this celebrity offering (he also sells a line of mustards under his name). Yes, you may not have heard of Ed McCaffrey but he's popular around Denver. In fact, when the Broncos went to the Super Bowl in 1999 a local paper had his wife write a daily article about her experiences. Personally, I thought she had trouble stringing together two coherent sentences but one of the regular columnists said she should get a Pulitzer. Puhleeze. My subscription to that paper has since lapsed. The bottom line is that the Denver locals can't get enough of the Broncos, they can do no wrong, and Big Shot Enterprises is trying to cash in on that. Enough of that, here's the review. Another headless root beer - no matter how poorly you pour it, this one won't foam over. Lightly colored, a bit heavy on the carbonation. True to its name, it is creamier than most. Other than that, there is little to distinguish it from other mass market canned root beers. It isn't particularly smooth despite the slight creaminess - it's got that carbonation bite. Somewhat sweet, unremarkably flavored. At least it doesn't have an aftertaste...the flavor is gone quickly (like I suspect this product will be from store shelves). All things considered (of course), it loses on the carbonation but gets a bonus for the creaminess. They cancel each other out leaving behind a basic C.
