This is the most artistic drink picture I've taken...I'm so proud.

Spike says:
- I don't know why I bother with birch beer. I'm
genetically predisposed not to like it. I'm not a big wintergreen
fan and as we all know, birch = wintergreen.
I stopped at Byler's
Country Store and couldn't resist. This even comes in two colors,
clear and not clear, though the label for the clear still mentions
caramel color as an ingredient. The company's website says they're
the same except for the color and I guess they would know best, though
the dark is less wintergreeny than the clear. Definitely. The clear
tastes like soda water with dissolvedWint-o-green
Lifesavers. No head, fairly fizzy, medium color (the dark, duh).
The brown isn't much better. No real character. You
know, this wouldn't be bad on a hot day if you don't mind the wintergreen.
So
once again,
Spike
proves
that
if you
don't
like
birch
beer you shouldn't drink birch beer. I'm sure I'll get hate mail
over this one too..."My grandpappy drank this in the Civil War -
how dare you don't like it!" I'll pretend, though, that I like birch
beer and give the brown a C (though the clear would be a D).
