of his greatest hits.
Frank died in 1961 to the dismay of all. For the next couple of decades
the company changed hands limiting its product line.
In 1990 a new enterprising entrepreneur bought the company, formulas
and logos. To the delight of those who knew Duffy's products.

Spike says:
- Very dark, lightly carbonated, no head. Strong
taste, quite sharp but not unpleasantly so. My amateur tongue thinks
the sharpness is due to anise - perhaps that's one of the "natural
flavors". My first impression was of root beer candy, but after
several bottles I think it tastes better than that. Of course, that's
not saying much considering how little I like the taste of root beer
candy. The sugar is quite pronounced, but balanced by the tang. Is it
rowdy? I wouldn't go that far, but it is stronger than most other brews.
No aftertaste, just an "afterburn" on the back of my throat.
A bit sweet for my taste, but overall a good root beer. Loses points
for excessive anise-ization. Survey says... B-.
