- Spike says:
- Yeah, you know this stuff is going to suck before
you even open the can. Ginseng? Antioxidants? Truly not a traditional
root beer. Yet I persist, for the people... Foamy head at first, then
it settles down into what looks like bubble bath (I've got small children
- I should know). After the Mr. Bubble action subsides I'm left with
a medium dark lightly carbonated liquid. You know what? This stuff isn't
bad at all. A very slight bitterness but overall a good taste. Similar
to A&W, Mug, etc. Nothing outstanding but certainly drinkable. I
don't get it though - who would get their herbs and vitamins through
root beer? I love root beer but come on, just take a damn pill. This
is why America is so obese..."Hey honey, I didn't take my vitamin
today...toss me a root beer wouldya? Yeah, need those antioxidants to
keep the cancer away. Hmmm...I can't seem to get off the couch. Oh well.
Hey honey, bring me some chips with that vitamin too." Whatever.
So you could do worse than this root beer but there's no compelling
reason to drink it, unless you've got a hard ginseng jones. Decent flavor
offset by slightly bitter = C.
